[Top Ten Tuesday] Book Related Problems

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week, the top ten list is about Ten Book Related Problems I Have. Here goes my top ten problems…

1. Book Covers. I’m very keen on book covers. I want my entire series to have matching covers, that is why I’m very pissed-off with sudden book cover changes.

2. Book Heights. Ugh, it’s very depressing when my books didn’t match in height. Especially, with paperbacks. It’s very hard to find the exact same height if the publisher has many editions.

3. Book Editions. Yeah, As you can see, I’m very OC with my books. I just can’t help it. Ugh, there are various editions of some titles, which frustrates me big time if they didn’t match.

4. Not enough moolah. Yeah, dead end right? Oh, well…

5. Book is not available in my country. You think not enough moolah is worst? You’re wrong, things just got better. Dammit!

6. Not available in hardcover. Oh well, I love my book in hardcovers. But the problem is, when you’ve read a good story and it is not available in HC. Yeah, Ugly Love. Yeah, I’m talking to you.

7. Spine Creases. No Explanation needed.

8. Reading while eating. Eating while reading. Tell me, it’s not just me. Tell me!

9. Why do read? Here we go again, my friend.

10. Lawrence, The Grand Duke of OCness. Yeah, I know it’s me fault. Me fault. #SorrynotSorry

That’s it, mates! Can I hear what’s yours?

[Top Ten Tuesday] Bookish Goals for 2015

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week, the top ten list is about Bookish Goals for 2015. Here goes my top ten goals:

1. Manage my book spending. I really need to control my urge to buy books without planning. Since I’m still sourcing my book funds in my student allowance, I really need to manage my priorities so that my allowance will not be messed-up.

2. Avoid buying or reserving books on impulse. I think, reserving books in general is not my problem, but the problem lies is when the book arrives, I’m really broke. Furthermore, I tend to buy books are on my list yet, not in the priority list when I see them in book stores. Just like last November, I bought a second copy of “Four: A Divergent Collection” by Veronica Roth since the jacket does not have that annoying “international edition” printed on the jacket’s spine.

3. Catch-up on series. Well, this is not really a problem. The problem is I tend to buy a book in the series yet I’m not rich enough to buy the other books. Like right now, I have “Throne of Glass” yet I do not own the other books because it is so expensive. So I can’t start the series. I’m also looking forward for sequels this year.

4. Read the books on my shelves. Well, this goal goes without saying.

5. Catch-up on my book reviews. I really need to write something even a few paragraphs for those books. Since I’m a fast reader, I tend to continue the series without writing a review first. And the end result is, my thoughts are messed-up.

6. Organize my Goodreads shelves. This is so hard. I’m having trouble arranging them because I have so many shelves in Goodreads. Ugggh. (OC Problems)

7. Read more. I think I did a good job in my reading challenge and managed to finished it. I hope that this year will be better. More boooooks!

8. Read new genres. Well, I really need to try new genres. YA this year is crazy and some of the books carries the same plot with just different names. Right now, I’m into contemporaries or new adult and I really find those books interesting.

9. Practice what I read. I cannot say that I’m really proficient in English, but I really try to practice what I read especially semantics. I do hope this year will be good to me and be a better year to improve my English.

10. Finish my Project Hardcover. Last year, I started converting my paperback novels to hardcover formats. I managed to convert at least half of my books and hopefully, this year I will finished it. Hardcover looks better on the shelves than paperbacks and I’m really investing for my future personal library. Though, I’m only converting those novels that has hardcover formats available.

Well, that’s a wrap! Can I hear what’s yours?
